Hull Design, Fairing, and Lofting Programs
The ProChine ($95), ProBasic($195), and ProSurf ($395) programs allow you to define, fair, and loft any type of hull shape using 3-dimensional B-Spline (NURB) surfaces. These programs include the capability to produce plate layouts and to calculate the hydrostatics and stability of the boat.

  Features and Examples.

ProSurf 3 ($395) - This is the top of the line, full capability hull design, analysis, and fairing program.

NO other full-capability hull design program comes even close to this price. Now everyone can get all of the power they need.

Student price is just $195!!!

School Pricing: $250 One-time fee for a lab license.

Current Customers: If you haven't received an upgrade notice yet, please contact us for the low-cost upgrade information.

ProBasic 3 ($195) - This is the same as ProSurf 3, but it is limited to at most 10 surfaces (per half hull) and does not include the full relational or trimmed surface capability as ProSurf 3.  It does include all of the hydrostatics, stability, and resistance calculations, and it does include the ruling lines and plate development capability.

ProChine 3 ($95) - This is the same as ProBasic 3, but it is limited to just chine hull boats (no round bilge hulls).  This is appropriate for those interested in developable hulls that need to be built out of plywood, aluminum, or steel.

Select this option to download a self-extracting executable file containing ProSurf 3. This is a working version of the program that gives you the full capability of the program for 25 file imports and file saves.  It then reverts to a demo program that does not allow file reads or writes.  After you purchase the program, it can be unlocked.

What is in this download?

1. The full capability (usage limited) ProSurf 3, ProBaisc 3, or ProChine 3 Hull Design and Fairing program. The ProBasic and ProChine programs are the same as ProSurf, except for certain limitations in capability. ProBasic is limited to 10 surfaces and ProChine is limited to only chine hull vessels. (See the literature for complete details.)

2. A full on-line help manual

3. A glossary of terms

4. Numerous tutorials

5. Numerous articles

Hull Calculation Programs
These 14 programs allow you to define any hull shape using stations (input as offsets , digitized from a bodyplan, or read from a standard offset file), define any shape of compartment, tank, or appendage, and produce all intact and damaged stability calculations required by the regulatory bodies (Coast Guard, Navy, Lloyds, etc.). A weights calculation program and a longitudinal strength program are also included.
Powerboat Analysis Programs
These are a collection of programs which can be used by themselves or in combination with the other programs listed above. These programs include performance predictions for powered vessels.

Sailboat Analysis Programs
These are a collection of programs which can be used by themselves or in combination with the other programs listed above. These programs include performance predictions for sailing vessels.
General Purpose Modules
These programs can be used for many unrelated vessel design problems. For example, you can use the digitizer program to trace closed areas for calculating areas, moments, inertias, and centroids.
