Company Profile

New Wave Systems, Inc., founded in 1985 by Stephen M. Hollister, N.A., is a developer of CAD/CAM/CAE software for boat and ship design, analysis, and construction. Mr. Hollister, who passed the Professional Engineer license exam in Connecticut, has an M.S.E. degree in Computer, Information, and Control Engineering (specializing in computer-aided design), and B.S.E. and M.S.E. degrees in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (specializing in CAD/CAM and hydrodynamics), all from the University of Michigan. Since 1975, he has worked and taught in the areas of naval architecture, computer-aided engineering, computer graphics, database management systems, and mathematics. He is an Associate Member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, a Member of Siggraph and the Association for Computing Machinery, and a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

New Wave Systems develops and sells all of its own software directly to the customer. There are no extra markups or royalties to pay. This is why we can offer our programs at prices which are from many hundreds to many thousands of dollars less than the competition. Do not ask why our software costs so little, ask why our competition charges so much.
